A new Chapter

Where do I start here?

20 months ago I decided to join an amazing online animation program called Animation Mentor. I grew up watching lots of cartoons , mostly Disney's animated movies as well as some Franco-Japanese ones( Goldorak, Remy sans famille, Les Cites d'or, Cobra Space adventure, etc...) so signing up for animations classes seemed logical. I had studied in a 4 years college prior to animation but it was mostly focused on 3d Art game. It was great and I learned a lot. They didn't have many animation classes as the major was still new...so that's where AM kicked in.

Now most of my classmates at AM started their blogs in class 1 but I wasn't able to do so. I was too busy with work and assignments and never got time to do anything else. Now that AM is finished I'd like to start a "post AM" blog where I will post new ideas/concepts. I'll talk about my process in creating my shots.

I am starting this new journey with my current demo reel. This is a compilation of my work at AM. I ended up with only 4 shots ( two subtle acting shots and two broad acting shots). In my last class I asked my mentor, James Chiang whether it'd better to focus on acting shots or broad acting ( body mechanics). He encouraged me to keep working on the acting ones. I took his advice to heart and decided that I'd try my best to keep pushing myself. This is what I'm attempting now. I want my 'post AM' shots to be somewhat different from the ones I did while attending AM. SOmething new, not just an extension of class 6...
